Scientists Outraged at FTC’s Deviation from the “Experts in the Field” Advertising Standard

The FTC posted its settlement package with Carrot Neurotechnology, Inc. for public comment on September 17, 2015.  Members of the scientific community have expressed outrage at the FTC’s position which they believe significantly deviates from the well-established “Experts in the Field” standard for reviewing advertising substantiation.  Comments charge that the FTC order is unfounded, unfair and potentially harmful to the public.  Read their specific comments here:  https://www.ftc.gov/policy/public-comments/initiative-625
