Lisa is a seasoned trial attorney specializing in civil litigation.

E lizabeth Hughes ("Lisa") graduated from the University of Maryland and received
her JD degree from the University of Kansas School of Law in 1988. In
law school, Lisa served as Second Year Class President and Student
Bar Association President, and she received the outstanding leadership
award at graduation.
Lisa is a seasoned trial attorney
specializing in civil litigation. She has over ten years experience
trying and arbitrating case for both plaintiffs and defendants in the
District of Columbia and Maryland.
Lisa started her career
doing insurance defense work. Her practice has expanded over the years
to include representing individuals, families and corporations in
contracts, personal injury, employment and insurance related matters.
Lisa also has a broad corporate practice in which she advises
individuals and corporations on business related matters including:
formation and maintaining business entities (corporations, limited
liability companies and partnerships); negotiating, drafting and reviewing contracts, leases and agreements; and advising officers and directors
with respect to corporate matter and fiduciary obligations. She is also
presently serving as general counsel for a number of local companies. Lisa's
other areas of practice include advising conservator and guardians for
incapacitated individuals, estate establishment and administration,
probate, divorce and general civil litigation.
